We have now been inspected by Craven District Council under their Food Hygiene Rating Scheme and are delighted to have been awarded the maximum 5 star rating.

The National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is a Food Standards Agency/local authority partnership initiative to provide consumers with at-a-glance information about hygiene standards in food businesses found during planned inspections. The aim is to help consumers to make informed choices about where to eat out or shop for food.

Most food businesses that supply food directly to the consumer are included in the scheme including restaurants, shops, cafes, takeaways, delicatessens, care homes, hotels and pubs and results can be found on www.ratings.food.gov.uk We are of course over the moon with our stars, but without getting overly emotional, a big THANK YOU to all the Wholesome Bee team for contributing to this because it is a team effort. You can learn more in Craven Herald on 19th April.

Rachel at The Beehive has just completed her first week here at the back of the Wholesome Bee shop. Serving good, vegetarian food, Rachel is specialising for those with specific dietary requirements, including gluten and dairy free. The take-away meals are proving very popular – great for a quick lunch or tea and ideal if you are on your own and don’t want to bother cooking every night. A new business is never easy, but this one is off to a good start and adds a real buzz to the shop. Good Luck Rachel!

That only poses one, small problem ….. where on earth am i going to do my bookwork and dump all the spare stock, baskets and boxes that seem to multiply every time my back is turned! Recycle recycle recycle (most of) the waste – that is the easy bit. Me? Looks like I’m off into the cellar with my laptop!

We haven’t planned our next event yet, though there is something to look forward to on 29th June when we join with The Lion to celebrate National Vegetarian Week – watch this space!

You can check it out at: www.tobiateff.co.uk
